Manyara Wines, a family owned and operated vineyard and winery, was established on fertile land once used to breed and train thoroughbred race horses. The vineyard is situated at Balhannah on the majestic slopes of the Adelaide Hills. The altitude of the region brings low night-time temperatures and rainfall, and both have a positive influence on grape growing. Contemplating a return to Australia after 20 years in South East Asia, Melissa and Simon Roe knew they had found their future at Manyara. A property with a colourful history and a fine reputation in the grape growing and wine making industries. The lush vines on the property were planted in 1994 and are well known for the supreme quality fruit they yield. Fruit that is nurtured and carefully hand-tended is hand-picked to become the key ingredient in the making of elegant, hand-crafted, premium, single vineyard wines. Manyara Wines have filled their stables with fresh Sauvignon Blanc, classic Chardonnay, elegant Pinot Noir Rosé, crisp Pinot Grigio and rich Pinot Noir just chomping at the bit to gallop into your mouth.
